“High-risk” is a type of human papillomavirus. Human papillomavirus is a relatively common pathogenic microorganism, and many diseases are associated with this virus infection, such as cervical cancer, sexually transmitted diseases, condyloma acuminata, skin diseases, and common warts in female patients. There are many subtypes of human papillomavirus and these viruses are classified into high-risk and low-risk viruses according to the clinical conditions that these viruses may cause after infection. High-risk viruses are divided into mucosal high-risk viruses and cutaneous high-risk viruses. Among them, mucosal high-risk virus is the main causative factor of cervical cancer in women. However, most of the infections will cure themselves within 2 years, and only a few patients may cause cervical lesions.
