Are myasthenia gravis and ankylosing spondylitis the same disease?

Myasthenia gravis and ankylosing spondylitis are not the same disease. Myasthenia gravis is a group of muscle diseases with muscle tonus as the main symptom, and ankylosing spondylitis is a chronic inflammatory disease with inflammation of sacroiliac joints and spinal attachment points as the main lesion.
The main clinical feature of ankylosing spondylitis is that the skeletal muscle continues to contract even after contraction without being able to relax, and the ankylosis is aggravated in cold environments. It can be categorized into two main groups, dystrophic and non dystrophic, and the specific mechanism is still unclear, which is usually related to abnormalities of the structure of the myofibroblast membranes and the motor function.
Ankylosing spondylitis is an autoimmune disease that mainly involves the sacroiliac joints and the spine. It is mainly caused by genetic and environmental factors, and usually shows morning stiffness, which improves after activities and eventually causes ankylosis of the spine.
If patients experience muscle or bone discomfort symptoms, they should seek medical examination in time, choose the appropriate treatment after the doctor clarifies the condition, and actively cooperate with the doctor for treatment.
