HPV (human papillomavirus) vaccine, or cervical cancer vaccine, is mainly used to prevent genital warts and cervical cancer caused by human papillomavirus.
HPV vaccines are currently categorized into three types, namely, bivalent vaccine, quadrivalent vaccine and nine-valent vaccine. Among them, the bivalent vaccine has the narrowest scope of protection and can prevent two diseases caused by HPV infection. The nine-valent vaccine has the widest scope of protection and can be used to prevent nine diseases caused by HPV infection, such as cervical cancer and genital warts.
For those who are vaccinated, there are different age requirements for different vaccines. You should seek medical advice, talk to your doctor and follow the doctor’s instructions for vaccination. Continued vaccination should be discontinued if a hypersensitivity reaction occurs after vaccination.
