How often are cervical screenings performed?

Women need to be screened for cervical cancer after they have had sex, which is routinely recommended for more than 1 year. Usually, cervical cancer screening is done once a year, or once every 2 years if both cervical cancer screening and HPV test are negative in a row. If the cervical cancer is negative in 4 consecutive years of rechecking, you can have cervical cancer screening once every 3 years. Since high-risk HPV virus is the most common cause of cervical cancer, it will be examined together with HPV virus when doing cervical cancer screening. Moreover, both cervical cancer screening and HPV examination are non-invasive operations, so they can now be used as routine medical checkups.
