What are the dangers of ADHD?

The damage of ADHD to children is long-term and lifelong, varying from period to period. ADHD not only impairs children’s schooling, resulting in learning difficulties, poor grades, boredom and school dropout; it also seriously impairs their social functioning, interpersonal communication, emotional and self-confidence development. It causes greater harm to families and society. At present, doctors at home and abroad unanimously regard ADHD as a disease from children to adults. The consequences of untreated ADHD are endless. In the past, the view that children with ADHD can grow up and get better naturally after adolescence is untenable after extensive clinical research. Studies have shown that 70% of children with ADHD have symptoms that last into adolescence and 30% of children have symptoms that last into adulthood. Without effective treatment, the condition can worsen and various co-morbidities can appear, seriously affecting the physical and mental health of children.
