There is no guaranteed cure for wind-cold-dampness paralysis because the specific treatment effect varies according to the condition and the individual’s constitution. Wind-cold-dampness paralysis is a general term for traveling paralysis, pain paralysis, and paralysis, and it is usually treated with Xuanpai Dajing Tang, Guizhi Paeoniae Radix and Zhimu Tang plus subtractions.
Paralysis: the symptoms are aching of joints and muscles of the limbs, wandering of the upper, lower, left and right joints, mostly cold pain, thin white or greasy tongue coating, floating or tight pulse. It can be treated with Xuanbiao Da Jing Tang, Gui Zhi Shao Yao Zhi Mu Tang plus reduction, Fang Feng Tang plus reduction and other prescriptions. Xuanbao Da Jing Tang should not be used by pregnant women.
Pain paralysis: the symptoms are severe pain in the joints of the limbs, the pain is worse when it meets cold, and it will be reduced when it gets warm, the coating is thin and white, and the pulse is tight and stringy. It can be treated with Wu Tou Tang and Wen Jing Tong Palsy Tang. Wu Tou Tang should be used with caution for pregnant women.
