It is not recommended to take Gui Spleen Pill for heavy cold-dampness. Gui Spleen Pill is a dose of traditional Chinese medicine for benefiting qi and tonifying blood, and is not usually used for treating heavy cold-dampness, so if there is a need to use the medicine, it should be in accordance with the doctor’s prescription.
Gui Spleen Pill is mainly composed of Radix Codonopsis Pilosulae, Atractylodes Macrocephalae, Radix Astragali, Radix et Rhizoma Glycyrrhizae, Poria, Radix Polygoni Multiflori, Radix Jujubae Soricatae, Fructus Longan, Radix Angelicae Sinensis, Radix Mucilaginae, Fructus Jujubae (core removed).
With the efficacy of benefiting qi, strengthening the spleen, nourishing blood and tranquilizing the mind, Gui Spleen Pill is a treatment for deficiency of heart and spleen, shortness of qi and palpitation. Spleen deficiency is mainly manifested as poor appetite and body fatigue, yellowish color, as well as menstrual disorders, disintegration and leakage of menstruation (excessive menstruation or more than a few drops of menstruation) and leucorrhoea. Heart qi deficiency, on the other hand, mainly manifests as palpitations, insomnia and forgetfulness.
Tui Shen Wan does not have the effect of removing dampness, so it is not recommended to take Tui Shen Wan for heavy dampness. If you feel unwell, you should consult a doctor and take the medicine as prescribed.
