What is the six-minute walk test about?

The six-minute walk test is a simple cardiopulmonary assessment performed on patients with moderate or severe cardiopulmonary dysfunction. The patient’s walk in six minutes is measured to find out if the patient has a decline in cardiopulmonary function. The main content is that the patient walks as fast as possible in a flat corridor and tests the farthest distance walked in six minutes. If <150 meters, it is considered severe cardiorespiratory insufficiency; 150-450 meters, moderate cardiorespiratory insufficiency; 450-550 meters, mild cardiorespiratory insufficiency; >550 meters, basic normal.
