Sitagliptin, whose full name is Sitagliptin Phosphate Tablets, is taken orally at a recommended dose of 100mg once daily, independent of eating, with or without food. Sitagliptin phosphate tablets can be taken as a single agent with dietary control and exercise for the treatment of type 2 diabetes or in combination with metformin. Common adverse reactions are gastrointestinal reactions such as nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, and abdominal pain, as well as allergy, upper respiratory tract infections, headache, acute pancreatitis, and hyponephrosis. It is contraindicated for those who are allergic to any of the ingredients in this product, and this product should not be used in type 1 diabetes or diabetic ketoacidosis.
