What does it mean to be atopic stage IV

Endometriosis is the presence of endometrial tissue (glands and mesenchyme) outside the body of the uterus. Endometriosis is divided into stages I, II, III, and IV, with stage IV being the severe stage. The staging of endometriosis needs to be carried out during laparoscopic or caesarean section surgery, and is scored by observing the location, number, size and degree of adhesion of the ectopic endometrium, with a score of >40, i.e. stage IV. The performance of stage Ⅳ is usually a wide range of lesion sites, number, scope, and severity of adhesion, etc. For example, in the clinic, it is found that the rectal uterine trap is completely disappeared, and the score is 40 points. For patients with stage IV endometriosis, it is recommended to go to the gynecology department of a regular hospital in time for proper treatment under the guidance of a doctor.
