Red Cow’s Knee, also known as Du Cow’s Knee, Huai Cow’s Knee, Tu Cow’s Knee, Huai Cow’s Knee, is a traditional Chinese medicine that can be used to treat diseases such as menstrual cramps, dysmenorrhea, lumbar and knee pain, weakness of sinews and bones, gonorrhea (increased frequency of urination and astringent pain of dribbling), edema, and vomiting of blood.
Red Cow’s Knee has a bitter, sweet and sour flavor and is flat in nature. It belongs to liver and kidney meridians. It has the effects of removing blood stasis and clearing the meridians, tonifying the liver and kidney, strengthening the muscles and bones, inducing diuresis and gonorrhea (to improve the problem of dribbling in the urine and urination), and inducing the blood to flow downward (to promote the blood to run downward).
It is often used in the treatment of menorrhagia, dysmenorrhea, lumbar and knee pain, weakness of muscles and bones, gonorrhea, edema, headache, dizziness, toothache, sun sores, vomiting blood, epistaxis.
