Small fibroids are generally small hyperplastic fibroids of the smooth muscle of the uterus and are one of the most common benign tumors in women. These small fibroids are not very harmful or serious, so in the vast majority of cases, they do not need to be treated. However, a portion of fibroid tumors still need to be dealt with if they produce more noticeable symptoms. The symptoms caused by these leiomyomas are mainly related to their location and size. In terms of location, these leiomyomas are divided into subplasma leiomyomas, submucosal leiomyomas or intermural leiomyomas, which can be very different from the big ones, which may reach more than 10 centimeters, and the small ones, which may be only a few millimeters. Symptoms associated with these fibroids include increased menstruation, prolonged menstrual periods, or a mass so large that it can be felt in the lower abdomen, and increased leukorrhea, which can lead to infection. Very large fibroids press on the surrounding tissues, causing compression and even frequent urination, difficulty in urination, etc. There is also the possibility that submucosal fibroids may cause pain. In short, all these symptoms need to be taken care of if they are more serious. However, the vast majority of small fibroids usually do not cause serious symptoms, and they do not have the potential for malignant changes, so it does not matter, this situation is not serious.
