Fever after prostate surgery may be due to postoperative absorption fever, incision infection, epididymitis, lung infection and other complications caused by human fever. 1. Postoperative absorption fever: the body’s own recovery, such as the absorption of local fluid or blood accumulation and aseptic inflammatory response, usually within 3 days will subside, and the temperature is generally not more than 38.5 ℃. 2. Incision infection: typical symptoms of redness, swelling, fever and pain of the surgical incision may appear in 2~3 days after the operation, and the temperature may exceed 38.5℃, and it is persistent. 3. Lung infection: there are often symptoms such as chest pain, cough and sputum, imaging can find flaky shadows, fever persists and usually exceeds 38.5℃. Fever may also be caused by some rare conditions such as epididymitis and infusion reaction. The clinical manifestations and the patient’s state should be used to determine what kind of condition is causing the fever, and the diagnosis and treatment should be carried out under the guidance of the physician to prevent the condition from worsening.
