How long does it usually take to treat lung nodules with anti-inflammatory therapy

There is no authoritative information on how long the average anti-infective treatment for lung nodules takes, it may be a few days, a few weeks, or longer. Secondly, not all lung nodules need to go into anti-infective treatment. Lung nodules are shadows of higher density found in the lungs through a CT scan of the lungs. There are many causes of lung nodules and not all of them require anti-infective treatment. If the lung nodule is caused by a pathogenic microorganism infection such as Mycobacterium tuberculosis or bacteria and is in the acute phase of the infection, then anti-infective treatment is required. The duration of treatment is also related to the infecting organism, the patient’s own physical condition, and the sensitivity of the drugs. If the lung nodule is caused by bacterial infection, the acute phase of anti-infection usually will have obvious improvement in 1~2 weeks; if the nodule is caused by tuberculosis, the general treatment time is from half a year to 2 years. However, if the lung nodules are calcified nodules, or caused by malignant tumors, etc., anti-infection treatment is generally not required. To summarize, when the presence of lung nodules is detected, further examination is needed to clarify the specific cause of the disease, and treatment should be carried out as early as possible.
