How to drain a boil

Drainage of boils usually involves incision of the abscessed tissue and removal of the internal pus, as well as repeated rinsing with an antiseptic solution. Boils are formed when a localized soft tissue becomes infected with pus. When a boil fuses into a carbuncle, there is often a large amount of pus inside, which requires prompt drainage of the boil. First, the carbuncle tissue should be cut open, and then the pus inside should be drained out, followed by repeated rinsing with hydrogen peroxide, saline or povidone-iodine, and then after correct and effective treatment, the carbuncle will slowly grow and heal with the use of a fluid drainage strip to drain the pus, and regular changes of medication. When draining boils, it is important to pay attention to the sterilization of the wound site, the diet needs to be as light as possible, if the boils are large in size, it is also necessary to follow the doctor’s advice to use penicillin or levofloxacin and other drugs for the infusion of treatment to inhibit the infection, so as to gradually return to normal.
