Steps for a man to get a ligation

The main way for men to do ligation is vasectomy, the steps of which are mainly divided into preoperative preparation (bathing, skin preparation, etc.), disinfection and anesthesia, ligation (bilateral vasectomy), and suture bandage. 1. Preoperative preparation: Before the operation, patients need to wash the perineum and shave the pubic hair, which is conducive to the exposure of the operation field and surgical operation. 2. Disinfection and anesthesia: Before surgery, wipe and disinfect the perineal area with iodine povidone or 1:1000 Neosporin disinfectant for three times, and spread aseptic cavity towel. Pinch the tough vas deferens with the thumb on the anterolateral side of the scrotum and fix it, and use 2% lidocaine local anesthesia drug to infiltrate the surface skin for anesthesia. 3. Ligation: take an incision of about 0.5cm in the surface skin, cut the skin, separate the subcutaneous tissue, explore the free vas deferens outside the incision, two hemostatic forceps clamp the upper and lower ends of the vas deferens, and ligate them with No.1 silk thread. The vas deferens was cut in the middle and about 1cm of vas deferens was removed, and the broken end was buried in the external fascia of the spermatic cord, and then returned to the inside of the incision after checking that there was no bleeding. 4. Suture bandage: the skin can be sutured at the incision, or part of it can not be sutured, using sterile gauze bandage, the same way to deal with the opposite side of the vas deferens, the operation is completed. For specific cases, we suggest that patients go to regular hospitals for consultation, and have the surgery performed by professional physicians, and follow the doctor’s instructions for recovery after the surgery.
