Does vitamin B6 prevent hair loss

Vitamin B6 does not prevent hair loss. In patients with hair loss due to seborrheic dermatitis, vitamin B6 can be taken orally for therapeutic purposes, but vitamin B6 is not a comprehensive treatment drug for seborrheic dermatitis; it is often taken orally in conjunction with treatment. Because patients with seborrheic dermatitis are often deficient in B vitamins in general, it is generally recommended that patients with seborrheic dermatitis can take oral multivitamin tablets. There are many other diseases that cause hair loss in the clinic, such as baldness, ringworm and androgenetic alopecia, as well as syphilis and other diseases that cause hair loss, and in these other diseases, vitamin B6 is not used as a common treatment drug. Therefore, patients are not able to apply vitamin B6 to prevent hair loss in clinical practice. To truly prevent hair loss, we must start with normal living habits, such as avoiding staying up late, avoiding smoking and drinking, and paying attention to a light diet with less spicy and stimulating foods.
