What to do if you have advanced lung cancer

Surgery is usually not recommended for patients with advanced lung cancer, and interventional therapy, radiotherapy, chemotherapy, targeted therapy and immunotherapy are mainly used. 1. Interventional therapy: patients with advanced lung cancer usually lose the indication of surgery. If patients with non-small cell lung cancer are moderately sensitive to chemotherapy and have poor effect after systemic chemotherapy, interventional therapy can be considered in this case, which mainly includes bronchial artery infusion chemotherapy and percutaneous puncture particle implantation, and it can effectively alleviate the symptom and reduce the pain. 2. Radiation therapy: patients with small cell lung cancer have higher sensitivity to radiation therapy, followed by squamous lung cancer and lung adenocarcinoma. Therefore, when choosing radiation therapy, it is necessary to choose different irradiation doses according to different types of tumors. 3. Chemotherapy: patients with advanced stage of lung cancer can also be treated by combined chemistry, but some patients have poor physical quality, have more side effects after chemotherapy, or the effect of chemotherapy is not obvious, so they need to choose other treatment plans at this time. 4. Targeted therapy: For non-small cell lung cancer, especially lung adenocarcinoma, whose gene mutation rate is relatively high, targeted therapy can be considered. 5. Immunotherapy: advanced lung cancer can choose chemotherapy combined with PD-1 or PD-L1 immunotherapy. Patients with advanced lung cancer may have other treatment modalities, and it is recommended to follow the doctor’s instructions.
