Why do doctors need to provide vitamin supplements for affected children?

Vitamin deficiency can make the sick child less tolerant to surgery and prone to various complications, so adequate amounts of vitamins need to be given before surgery. (1) Vitamin A and vitamin D deficiency can produce postoperative laryngospasm and convulsions. (2) Vitamin B1 deficiency can contribute to heart failure. (3) Vitamin C deficiency can affect wound healing. (4) Vitamin K deficiency can easily cause bleeding. Therefore, the supplementation of various vitamins is very necessary. At present, water-soluble vitamins and fat-soluble vitamins are more often used in mixed dosage, and the corresponding dosage is usually given according to the age.
