What are the advantages of laparoscopic choledochotomy for lithotripsy?

Laparoscopic common bile ductexploration (LCBDE) With the increasing maturity of laparoscopic technology, its application in surgery has become increasingly widespread. Laparoscopic common bile duct extraction has become the main treatment method for common bile duct stones because of its minimal trauma, shortened hospitalization time, relatively low cost and reduced patient pain. Advantages of laparoscopic common bile duct lithotomy 1. Compared with traditional open surgery, laparoscopic common bile duct exploration has the advantages of minimally invasive, no incisional complications, and little interference with gastrointestinal function and abdominal cavity. 2.LCBDE is a good choice for patients with complex biliary stones that cannot be treated by endoscopic papillary sphincterotomy (EST). Endoscopic sphincterotomy (EST) is commonly used in internal medicine for the treatment of common bile duct stones, but because EST has more complications, up to 10%, mainly bleeding, traumatic pancreatitis, duodenal perforation, acute cholangitis, etc., and it has significant drawbacks: permanent destruction of the sphincter of Oddi. The advantage of LCBDE combined with choledochoscopy is that it can lift the common bile duct stones and gallbladder stones at one time, which can preserve the integrity of the sphincter and not increase the complication rate, and the choledochoscopic extraction under direct vision is both thorough and safe, which can better reflect the advantages of minimally invasive. Indications for laparoscopic choledochotomy 1. gallbladder stones secondary to common bile duct stones 2. primary common bile duct stones 3. common bile duct diameter >1.0 cm
