What’s wrong with low glomerular filtration rate?

Low glomerular filtration rate includes two major causes, physiological factors as well as pathologic factors. Such as physiological renal function degeneration, chronic renal failure, acute renal failure, etc.. 1. Physiological factors: low glomerular filtration rate is generally considered to have a certain relationship with the patient’s age, as the human body grows older, the function of the body begins to appear degenerative changes in the phenomenon, so the glomerular filtration function will gradually decline, which is a normal physiological aging phenomenon. 2. Pathological factors (1) Chronic renal failure: generally due to β-hemolytic streptococcal infection, heredity, systemic lupus erythematosus, allergic purpura, diabetes mellitus and other diseases caused by glomerulonephritis, the progress of the disease can lead to glomerular filtration function is impaired, resulting in glomerular filtration rate is low, and the patient is often manifested as hematuria, proteinuria, edema, hypertension, anemia, calcium and phosphorus disorders, and so on. (2) Acute Renal Failure: It refers to the rapid and progressive decline of renal function in a short period of time due to various reasons, and the metabolic function of kidney is abnormal due to the failure of kidney. It can cause low glomerular filtration rate, water electrolyte and acid-base balance disorders and other phenomena. Therefore, when the examination found that the glomerular filtration rate is low, you need to go to the regular hospital in time, improve the examination, and carry out reasonable treatment after clarifying the specific causes.
