How to lower glycyl proline dipeptidase

Elevated Glycyl Proline Dipeptidase is usually caused by liver disease and therefore needs to be treated for the appropriate liver disease to be able to lower it. Common liver diseases, such as viral hepatitis, alcoholic liver disease, fatty liver, hepatocellular carcinoma, and obstructive jaundice, are all capable of causing elevated Glycyl Proline Dipeptidase. For viral hepatitis, liver protection and antiviral treatment are needed; for alcoholic liver disease, alcohol cessation and liver protection are needed; for fatty liver disease, weight loss, weight control and liver protection are needed. Glycylproline dipeptidase is elevated in patients with hepatocellular carcinoma, which can be treated with interventional therapy, surgical therapy, and oral targeted drugs. Obstructive jaundice needs to be relieved by surgery or other means, and glycylproline dipeptidase will gradually return to normal.
