After a baby falls on his head, he should be observed for two days. Try to get as much rest and as little activity as possible during these two days. If the baby has been in good spirits and has a normal appetite for two days, without headache, nausea or vomiting, you can be completely at ease. When your baby falls on the head and there is no bleeding and there is a small swelling, you should immediately treat it with cold compresses. If the swollen bag is larger or redder, you can first emergency smear some sesame oil, or use moist potato slices to paste, there are pain relief and bruising auxiliary effect. Even if you fall on your head, don’t always suspect a concussion. A concussion is characterized by a loss of consciousness and perception for a certain period of time. If the baby is always conscious, there is no problem. If your baby vomits, it may be due to vomiting caused by shock, or it may be a temporary concussion of the brain, which usually clears up after two or three vomits, unlike a concussion. If a fall on the head causes a severe concussion or intracranial hemorrhage, it will come on quickly, at the latest within 24 hours, so go to the hospital as soon as possible if you have symptoms. You should go to the hospital immediately if the following conditions occur: bleeding trauma to the head; the baby did not cry after the fall and appeared not conscious enough, semi-comatose and drowsy; within two days after the fall, there was recurrent vomiting, much sleep, poor spirit or violent crying; within two days after the fall, there was bleeding from the nose or ear, running water and unequal pupils.
