The mortality rate of rabies is 100%, and once infected with rabies onset, the mortality rate is 100%. Rabies is a lethal disease, but rabies is also still a rare disease, with around 1,000 cases per year in our country, the vast majority of which should be over 95%, all of which were not vaccinated against rabies after being bitten by a rabid dog. If a dog bite or cat bite is followed by timely, standardized rabies vaccination and timely rabies immunoglobulin injection at the bite site, rabies is unlikely to occur. Although rabies is a lethal disease, it is still preventable and can be avoided by good prevention.
