Fever after rabies vaccination usually takes a few days

Fever can occur after rabies vaccination and will usually subside on its own in about 3 days, or it can be treated symptomatically according to the specific temperature of the fever. If the temperature is lower than 38.5℃, physical cooling, monitoring temperature changes, drinking more water and taking rest can usually subside in a day or so; if the temperature is higher than 38.5℃, oral antipyretic drugs can be taken under the guidance of a doctor, and most of them can subside within 3 days, and the vaccination should be postponed if there is a subsequent vaccination. In addition, dizziness, headache, nausea, vomiting, malaise and other uncomfortable symptoms may occur after rabies vaccination, and generally no special treatment is needed. If the symptoms are severe, you should seek medical attention promptly. After rabies vaccination, attention should be paid to the prohibition of spicy and stimulating foods, immunosuppressants, and keeping the injection site dry and clean in general to avoid infection, etc. Secondly, it is also necessary to identify whether the fever after rabies vaccination is caused by other causes, such as tonsillitis, upper respiratory tract infection, bronchitis, pneumonia, etc.
