Postoperative cerebrospinal fluid leakage after meningioma surgery may be due to the cerebrospinal fluid leakage caused by accidental injury to the dura mater during surgical operation, and the main manifestations can be divided into cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage, cerebrospinal fluid ear leakage and cerebrospinal fluid incision leakage and so on. 1. Cerebrospinal fluid nasal leakage: the main manifestation is the continuous flow of bright and transparent liquid from the nose, with a small portion of it flowing to the posterior wall of the pharynx, and the patient has the feeling of swallowing the liquid. 2. Cerebrospinal fluid ear leakage: bright and transparent fluid can be seen flowing out from the external ear canal. 3. Cerebrospinal fluid leakage from the incision: the most common manifestation is that the patient wakes up and finds the pillow wet, and clear and transparent cerebrospinal fluid can be seen leaking out from the incision. Patients with cerebrospinal fluid leakage need to be treated in time, otherwise it will easily lead to intracranial infection and other complications, which will prolong the hospitalization time of the patients, and in serious cases, it may endanger the patients’ lives.
