Poria, Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae and Ginger are all Chinese medicines. Boiled together, they have the effects of inducing diuresis and seepage of dampness (promoting the flow of water to dispel dampness), strengthening the spleen and tranquilizing the heart, regulating qi and warming the middle, and drying up dampness and resolving phlegm (dispelling phlegm with dampness-drying medicines). Poria is the dried fungus Poria cocos of the family Poraceae, which can diuretic and seep away dampness, strengthen the spleen and tranquilize the heart; Pericarpium Citri Reticulatae is the dried and ripe fruit peel of orange, which can regulate qi and strengthen the spleen (regulate qi and strengthen the spleen), dry dampness and resolve phlegm; Ginger is the fresh rhizome of ginger of the family Zingiberaceae, which can warm up and stop vomiting (warm up the spleen and stomach to treat vomiting caused by gastric cold), relieve the epidermis and dissipate cold (remove coldness from the surface of the body), and resolve phlegm and stop coughing. The three are not a fixed combination in the formula, so the effect of boiling the three together is a combination of their respective effects. Ginger and tangerine peel should not be used in patients with heatiness and internal heat deficiency, and the adverse effects of all three are not clear. Patients who are not feeling well are advised to consult a doctor in time, and should not use the medicine by themselves, it is recommended to use it under the guidance of a traditional Chinese medicine practitioner.
