What Causes Kidney Failure

Renal failure is categorized into acute and chronic, acute may be caused by acute blood volume insufficiency, acute interstitial nephritis and so on, chronic may be caused by hypertension, diabetes mellitus and so on.
1.Acute renal failure:
(1) Acute blood volume insufficiency: hemorrhage caused by various reasons, shock and blood volume insufficiency caused by massive hemorrhage, sometimes the two coexist, severe renal insufficiency of perfusion, decrease of glomerular filtration rate, renal tubular degeneration and necrosis, and acute renal failure.
(2) Acute interstitial nephritis: it is a group of diseases that cause interstitial damage to the kidney, and the etiology is very complex. It may be caused by renal infectious diseases, nephrotoxic substances, X-ray prolonged irradiation and so on. Due to renal interstitial damage, thus acute renal failure can occur.
2. Chronic renal failure:
(1) Hypertension: long-term high blood pressure can cause small renal arteriosclerosis, which affects renal function, thus chronic renal failure can occur.
(2) Diabetes mellitus: long-term high blood glucose can damage renal blood vessels and reduce kidney function, thus causing chronic kidney failure.
Kidney failure may also be caused by other reasons, it is recommended that patients go to the hospital in time and follow the doctor’s instructions for treatment to avoid delaying the condition.
