Can children take vitamin B1?

Vitamin B1 can be taken by children. Vitamin B1 is also called thiamine, and the disease caused by vitamin B1 deficiency is called beriberi, but of course this beriberi is not what we usually call fungal infection caused by beriberi. Vitamin B1 exists in more foods, such as fish, meat, eggs, milk, as well as beans, rice and noodles, are rich in vitamin B1, and general deficiency is extremely rare. However, refined rice and noodles tend to cause loss of vitamin B1, and vitamin B1 deficiency may occur with long-term consumption of refined rice and noodles. If the lactating mother is deficient in vitamin B1, the milk secretion of vitamin B1 will also be reduced, and the baby may suffer from beriberi. Once a child is deficient, it is perfectly acceptable to supplement vitamin B1 with 5-10mg per day, divided into 3 oral doses.
