The causes of rotator cuff pain can be rotator cuff injury, supraspinatus myositis, subacromial impingement syndrome and so on.
1. Rotator cuff injury: supraspinatus, infraspinatus, subscapularis and teres minor muscles make up the rotator cuff, when there is shoulder trauma, chronic strain injury, etc., resulting in rotator cuff injury, which leads to the symptoms of pain around the shoulder joint. Generally speaking, the diagnosis can be clearly made by shoulder joint magnetic resonance imaging (MRI).
2. Supraspinatus tendonitis: when the supraspinatus muscle in degeneration, repeated strain injury, trauma or long-term cold, etc., can cause aseptic inflammation of supraspinatus tendon, rotator cuff pain and shoulder activity disorder as the main clinical manifestations. The main clinical manifestations are rotator cuff pain and impaired shoulder movement. Shoulder joint MRI can make a clear diagnosis.
3. Subacromial impingement syndrome: Because of the osteophyte of acromion and weakening of rotator cuff, humerus head is shifted to the top of the humerus, and the pain in rotator cuff such as supraspinatus muscle can appear when the shoulder joint is lifted up and abducted for impingement. Orthopantomogram or nuclear magnetic resonance imaging (NMR) of the shoulder joint can assist in the diagnosis.
There are many causes of rotator cuff pain, and since the pain symptoms are similar, orthopantomogram, CT or MRI are needed to diagnose the pain, so it is necessary to go to the hospital and make reasonable diagnosis and treatment under the guidance of the doctor.
