What drugs are used in chemotherapy for lung cancer

Lung cancer is a common malignant tumor of the respiratory system. Clinically, lung cancer is divided into small cell lung cancer and non-small cell lung cancer. For patients with early stage lung cancer, surgery is the main treatment, while patients with intermediate and late stage lung cancer are treated with chemotherapy-based comprehensive treatment. The chemotherapeutic drugs currently applied in the treatment of small cell lung cancer include pedialyte glycosides, cisplatin, carboplatin, irinotecan, loplatin, etc. The commonly used regimens are EP regimen and CE regimen. The chemotherapeutic drugs clinically used for the treatment of non-small cell lung cancer include pemetrexed, paclitaxel, docetaxel, cisplatin, carboplatin, nedaplatin, loplatin, etc. The current commonly used regimen for patients with lung adenocarcinoma is usually pemetrexed combined with cisplatin, carboplatin or nedaplatin, while for patients with squamous lung cancer, paclitaxel combined with platinum is mostly used.
