Can enlarged turbinates heal on their own?

Whether nasal turbinate hypertrophy can heal on its own is closely related to the cause and the specific degree of hypertrophy. In general, if the turbinate is enlarged due to abnormal nasal structure such as severe deviation of the nasal septum, or bony hypertrophy, it will not heal on its own; if the soft tissue of the turbinate is swollen and hypertrophied due to chronic inflammation, drug abuse, etc., there is a possibility of self-healing.
