Dietary contraindications for cholecystitis

Cholecystitis is one of the more common digestive disorders. Patients need to avoid foods that are highly irritating (e.g. garlic, onions, fennel, etc.), high in cholesterol (e.g. butter, egg yolks, duck eggs, goose eggs, etc.) and high in fat (e.g. fatty meats, walnuts, cashew nuts, etc.) in their daily lives. Try not to drink strong alcohol, strong tea, coffee, etc. during the day. It is important to note that although diet is beneficial in controlling the disease, it is only one part of the treatment and it is advisable to seek medical advice if you are unwell. Your doctor will be able to advise you on the appropriate treatment plan for your particular case and give you sound dietary advice.
