What causes dizziness and arm numbness

Dizziness, arm numbness may be a physiological phenomenon, may also be cervical spondylosis, cerebrovascular disease, tumors and other causes.
1. Physiological phenomenon: dizziness may be the positional vertigo produced by suddenly getting up, arm numbness may be improper posture compression to the arm, thus making the arm numb. Generally these two situations can be in a short period of time to recover on their own.
2. Pathologic causes:
(1) cervical spondylosis: when suffering from cervical spondylosis, patients may have symptoms of dizziness and arm numbness due to cervical spine lesions compressing the local nerves and vertebral arteries.
(2) Cerebrovascular disease: For example, patients with cerebral hemorrhage and cerebral infarction may have dizziness, numbness of the limbs, or limited limb movement, generally due to the lesions in the brain affecting the nerves innervating the limb movement.
(3) Tumor: For example, if there are tumors in the brain such as meningioma and glioma, the patient will also have dizziness and numbness in the arm.
It is recommended that when the symptoms persist, patients should go to the hospital for examination in time and cooperate with the doctor’s treatment.
