Precautions after extraction of a large tooth should be considered in terms of bleeding, pain, and post-operative healing, such as no brushing and gargling for 24 hours.
1. No brushing and gargling within 24 hours to prevent the blood clot from being gargled out and avoid secondary bleeding.
2. You can not eat until 2 hours after the operation, you can not eat too hot food, the food should be warm, cool, thin and soft. Avoid chewing with the extracted side to prevent active bleeding, and also prevent pressure bleeding caused by excessive pressure in the mouth.
3. Do not do strenuous exercise, prohibit smoking, drinking, repeated sucking and licking the extraction wound.
4. 24 hours after the operation, you can apply cold compresses with ice packs.
5. It is normal to have a small amount of blood in the mouth 24 hours after the operation, but if there is a large amount of blood, you need to consult a doctor in time.
6. 7 to 10 days after the operation, if it is non-absorbable wire needs to be removed; absorbable wire can be checked whether it affects the healing, for selective removal.
