How long can the patient live after resection of ascending colon cancer cannot be generalized, the specific survival time is related to the clinical stage, pathological type, patient’s own condition, etc. Generally speaking, the earlier the disease is detected and treated, the better the prognosis of the disease is, and the smaller the impact on the patient’s life expectancy is. Clinically, “5-year survival rate” is usually used to roughly judge the survival of patients. According to the current study, the overall 5-year relative survival rate after resection of ascending colon cancer is 67.6%. Preoperative obstruction, lymph node metastasis (N-stage), and distant metastasis (M-stage) are associated with a lower 5-year survival rate after resection of ascending colon cancer. The lower the level of the patient’s nutritional status, the worse the patient’s prognosis, and when the patient’s organism is in a state of inhibition, the tumor is prone to spread and the likelihood of postoperative recurrence is high. Ascending colon cancer surgery improves the prognosis and reduces the adverse effects of the disease through early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment, and it can even be cured and work and live like a normal person.
