Is it okay to have blood glucose past 10 minutes after a 2-hour meal?

Generally, it is OK to test blood glucose after 10 minutes after 2 hours of meal, because blood glucose is a process of gradual decline, and the effect is not great after 10 minutes. If you just test the blood glucose 2 hours after meal in general, including diabetic patients, it is fine to test again after 10 minutes, but don’t do it often, it is better to test by point, the result is accurate and easy to compare, so as to better grasp the blood glucose level. If the time exceeded is too long, it is also not recommended to test again, and it is enough to test again after the next meal. If the time exceeded is too long, the value may be inaccurate. It should be noted that the 2-hour post-meal blood glucose refers to the blood glucose measured from the first bite of the three meals to the full 2 hours, not from the end of the meal. At the same time, if the patient has taken certain drugs, drank alcohol or exercised strenuously before the test, it will affect the blood glucose measurement result and lead to deviation. Generally, the normal human blood glucose value 2 hours after meal is 4.4-7.8 mmol/L. If it is >7.8 mmol/L and <11.1 mmol/L, it is hypoglycemic tolerance; if it is ≥11.1 mmol/L, it belongs to diabetes.
