Children coughing from 12:00 to 1:00 in the middle of the night can be seen in environmental factors, respiratory infections, asthma, etc. Intervention needs to be carried out according to the different causes, such as environmental dryness caused by the need to adjust the indoor humidity and temperature. 1. Environmental factors: when children sleep at night, if the room temperature is too high or dry, it is easy to stimulate children to cough at night, usually such children have normal mental body temperature during the day, no obvious cough. Adjust the indoor temperature and humidity as appropriate. 2. Respiratory infections: bronchitis caused by Mycoplasma pneumoniae infection, coupled with vagus nerve excitation at night, more likely to have nighttime coughing symptoms, need active treatment, such as oral aminoglutethimide oral solution to relieve coughing symptoms, and at the same time the use of azithromycin and other active anti-infective treatment. 3. Cough variant asthma: this kind of children are often recurrent cough, often manifested as dry cough, mostly at night, early in the morning and after activities are also more likely to appear, lung function often suggests that the airway reactivity is increased. Treatment requires regular use of inhaled glucocorticosteroids (e.g. budesonide), such as nebulization therapy. All of the above medications should be used under the supervision of a physician, and active consultation with a specialist is recommended.
