The etiology of caudal pressure pain and abnormal activity is unknown and may be related to trauma, deformity. A variety of factors can cause this disease, including central lumbar disc herniation, sacral tumors or cysts, collapse of the pedicle with slippage, and many others. The treatment and prevention methods for caudal pressure pain and abnormal activity are: 1, caused by trauma: cases with fracture and dislocation are treated as caudal fracture and dislocation therapy. 2, caused by chronic strain: it is advisable to rest in prone or lateral position for 2-3 weeks, supine for coccyx pain, and padded air ring in sitting position. Hot water sitz bath 2 to 3 times a day can reduce the anal muscle spasm. Most of them heal within l to 3 months; however, there are also those who delay for a long time and need to be treated without tailbone weight-bearing for 3 to 6 months. The pressure is painless before weight-bearing sitting, too early to make the tailbone weight-bearing, the symptoms are easy to relapse, the disease process to start again. 3.Severe pain and clear pain points: for such cases, 1%-2% procaine 3-5ml can be selected for local closure, once a week, 3-4 times for a course of treatment. 4.For those with persistent tailbone pain: caudal osteotomy is feasible, with routine preoperative closure test, good pain relief and good surgical results. Otherwise, consideration should be given to the presence of lumbosacral disorders compressing the nerve root causing coccyx pain. Clean enema and sacral anesthesia are required before surgery. The prognosis is generally good.
