What to do about rashes on baby’s limbs

Rash on the limbs of infants may be caused by prickly heat, eczema, hand-foot-mouth disease and other diseases, which need to be dealt with by general treatment and medication.
1. Prickly heat: If the rash on the baby’s limbs is caused by prickly heat, just keep the baby’s skin dry and tidy, and most of the rash will subside on its own. During the period, you can also apply glycerin lotion and other drugs to stop itching and astringent effect.
2. Eczema: If the rash on the baby’s limbs is caused by eczema, the first thing you need to do is to avoid triggering or aggravating factors. Glucocorticoid drugs can be used, such as hydrocortisone, to play an anti-inflammatory effect.
3. Hand, foot and mouth disease: If an infant has hand, foot and mouth disease, it can also lead to rashes on the extremities. If the child has a fever, physical cooling needs to be given, such as wiping the skin with a warm towel, etc. If necessary, drugs such as ibuprofen can be used to reduce fever. It can mostly heal on its own, or can be treated with medications such as ribavirin and recombinant human interferon alpha.
For infants with rashes on the limbs, parents should take them to the doctor as soon as possible for examination, to clarify the cause of the disease, and cooperate with the doctor to standardize the treatment.
