What are the symptoms of thyroid disease?

Thyroid disorders include hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, thyroiditis, thyroid cysts, and thyroid adenomas. Symptoms of hyperthyroidism include fear of heat, excessive sweating, hyperphagia, weight loss, rapid heartbeat, sensitivity and suspicion, irritability, etc. Symptoms of hypothyroidism include fear of cold, weakness, unresponsiveness, indifference, slowed heartbeat, and non-sunken edema of the hands, feet and face.
