Aspirin, indomethacin, acetaminophen and narcotic analgesics such as morphine and fentanyl are all effective in relieving pain. Glucocorticoids such as dexamethasone and methylprednisolone are also effective in relieving pain, but should be used under medical supervision after the cause has been identified.
