Sensory integration therapy for children with learning disabilities?

Learning is an important function of the brain, and learning disabilities (LD) are caused by abnormalities in certain functions of the central nervous system, resulting in impairments in listening, speaking, reading, writing, arithmetic, and reasoning. Currently, many studies have identified sensory integration disorders in the brain as an important cause of LD. Therefore, the treatment for children with LD should focus on the main contradiction of the occurrence of LD, solve the problems of the central nervous system, and improve the learning ability of children with LD. In daily life, all human motivation and behavior are related to the sensory integration function of the brain’s nervous system. For example: crawling, standing, walking, running, eating, dressing and all other life behaviors indoors and outdoors and play; visual, auditory, tactile cognition, smell, taste, body muscle sensation, balance sensation and other sensations of the body; language comprehension and expression acquisition, tracing, writing, writing essays, reading words, reading articles, etc. Completing all these actions and behaviors are not the result of the sensory integration of the brain nervous system. Humans tend to perform simple actions and behaviors unconsciously, but to complete some complex and difficult actions and behaviors, they need to consciously regulate and control, that is, to select, organize and order the various sensory stimuli and information from the external environment and their own internal work is done through the brain nervous system. Once the problem of sensory integration occurs, there will be various obstacles, such as uncoordinated movements, unable to complete complex movements and behaviors, unable to carry out normal daily life, learning and games, therefore, it is extremely important to correct the sensory integration disorder of children with LD.
