Patients who suffer from kidney yin deficiency after radiotherapy can take Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan. Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan is composed of Zhi Mu, Huang Bai, Shu Di Huang, Shan Yao, Shan Zhu and Ze Xie, which has the effect of nourishing yin and lowering fire (nourishing yin essence and lowering fire). It can be used clinically to treat symptoms such as lumbar and knee soreness and weakness (a feeling of soreness and weakness in the lumbar and knee areas), hot flashes (a burst of fever), night sweating of bone vapor (abnormal sweating after going to sleep, and sweating stops after waking up), dry mouth, tinnitus, sore throat, and short and red urine (urine that is small in volume and dark yellow in color) caused by insufficiency of kidney and yin. The adverse effects of this drug are not known. Post-radiotherapy patients are not contraindicated for Zhi Bai Di Huang Wan. If the above symptoms of kidney yin deficiency occur in post-radiotherapy patients and meet the indications of Zhibai Di Huang Wan, this drug may be used. If not, the drug should not be used.
