Extent of diarrhea in patients with novel coronaviruses

Patients with novel coronavirus pneumonia may present with diarrhea in some cases, in addition to respiratory clinical signs, including cough, fever, and dyspnea. The degree of diarrhea can range from mild diarrhea, moderate diarrhea, to severe diarrhea. Mild diarrhea simply manifests as a mild increase in the number of bowel movements. Moderate diarrhea may show significant diarrhea, gastrointestinal reactions, diarrhea, and dehydration. Severe diarrhea may present with further worsening of dehydration and even problems with circulatory disturbances. If diarrhea is present, it is important to note that the symptoms of diarrhea are themselves non-specific. It is important to note that if there is a clear history of close contact or close contact with the patient, in addition to respiratory symptoms, diarrhea symptoms, it is important to do a pathogenetic examination, especially viral nucleic acid testing, in order to determine whether the diarrhea is due to a new coronavirus infection.
