Eugenol should be taken every day.  2. If you miss a dose because you are busy at work or for other special reasons: If you miss a dose, you can take twice the dose the next day. If you miss more than one day, you should insist on taking twice the dose for multiple days until you make up for the missed dose.  3, time: take one hour before breakfast, three hours after dinner (before bedtime), half an hour before breakfast, three kinds of taking time absorption efficiency in order to reduce, half an hour before breakfast is the bottom line of adherence.  4, recheck thyroid function blood draw: require fasting blood check, check after taking eugenol.  5, review cycle: after surgery oral eugenol patients need to review thyroid function in the 6th week, thereafter, within 1 year after surgery, generally 3-6 months to review once, 1 year after surgery, can be 6 months to review once. It is important to note that whenever there is a change in the dose of medication, etc., it is necessary to wait 6 weeks for a review, at least 4 weeks. The reason is that the half-life of Eugenol is 7 days.  6, it is recommended to take it with water only, soy milk affects the absorption; coffee also affects the absorption. Since eating affects absorption, some special medications or foods should be taken at sufficient intervals: 1 hour between vitamins, hypertension medications, and tonic products; 2 hours between foods or medications containing iron and calcium; 4 hours between milk and soy foods; and 12 hours between cholestyramine or lipid-lowering resins. Note: Eugenol is absorbed in the small intestine; the acidic pH value in the stomach in the fasting state is more important for the absorption of the tablets in the small intestine, so it is important to assess the function of the gastrointestinal tract, such as HP-related gastritis, atrophic gastritis, fatty leaking, etc., by taking more medication than the expected dose. After the disease is cured, thyroid function and levothyroxine dose need to be re-evaluated; 7.Eugenol dose is enough or not, should be based on the final blood check.  8.Eugenol has the same molecular formula as thyroxine secreted by human body, and most of the patients can tolerate it. Very few patients have symptoms such as “headache, palpitations, anxiety”, but the patient’s thyroid function may be normal, please consult your doctor, there are ways to relieve or even eliminate the symptoms.  9. Side effects of overdose – atrial fibrillation, osteoporosis; insufficient dose affects lipid metabolism and cardiovascular disease progression. Please consult your physician, medication should be individualized.  10 .If you cannot tolerate Eugenol replaced by other products, such as Retis, also levothyroxine sodium tablets, TSH levels need to be re-evaluated.  11, The dose of medication before and during pregnancy is recommended to be rechecked every month for thyroid function and timely adjustment by the doctor according to the TSH level.  12.If the thyroid gland has been completely excised, post-operative iodine 131 treatment is required, and you need to stop using eugenol for more than four weeks before.
