How long does it take to wake up after brain hemorrhage surgery

How long it takes to wake up after brain hemorrhage surgery cannot be generalized. The specific time is mainly related to the amount of bleeding in the brain, the location of the bleeding and the severity of the condition. If a patient with brain hemorrhage needs to undergo surgery, it generally indicates that the patient has a large amount of bleeding blood in the brain. If the bleeding site is in the peripheral tissues of the brain, the patient can gradually wake up about 3 days after surgery; if the bleeding site is in the deep brain tissues, it is more difficult to wake up after surgery and the wake up time can be prolonged, which takes about 1-3 months. If patients are treated with borehole drainage, some patients can regain consciousness faster within 24 hours after surgery with the use of antithrombotic drugs such as urokinase to dissolve the hematoma to reduce intracranial pressure. In addition, after cerebral hemorrhage surgery, treatment with drugs to improve microcirculation is needed, along with enhanced supportive therapy for patients to shorten their awakening time and improve their quality of life.
