How to tell if your water is broken or not

Judge whether your water has broken or not by vaginal fluid outflow, PH test paper, amniotic fluid microscope and ultrasound.
1. Vaginal fluid outflow: pregnant women who feel that there is an involuntary outflow of vaginal fluid, which cannot be controlled by themselves, should consider that the amniotic fluid has broken. The color of the outflow of fluid is very clear, but if it is mixed with fetal stool, the amniotic fluid will be turbid.
2. PH test paper: Use PH test paper to detect vaginal secretions, the PH value of amniotic fluid is alkaline, when the test paper turns blue when the PH value is ≥7, it is considered that the amniotic fluid has broken.
3. Amniotic fluid microscope: take some amniotic fluid and put it on a glass slide, when it dries and you see amniotic tooth-like crystals, it means that the amniotic fluid has broken.
4. Ultrasound: Pregnant women can go to the hospital for ultrasound, which will show that the amount of amniotic fluid has decreased significantly, also indicating that the water may have broken.
It is recommended to go to the hospital to determine whether the amniotic fluid is broken or not is more accurate.
