The common causes of pain inside the ear include infection of the external ear canal, cerumen obstruction, ear canal tumor and so on.
1. External auditory canal infection: Otitis externa and boils of external auditory canal are common, which are often caused by pathogenic microorganisms and result in inflammation of the skin of the ear canal, manifesting as earache, tinnitus, increased secretion, and so on.
2. Cerumen obstruction: when a large amount of cerumen in the ear is blocked in the external auditory canal, if it is too hard, it can stimulate the nerve of the external auditory canal and cause pain in the ear.
3. Tumor of ear canal: middle ear cholesteatoma, acoustic neuroma and other tumors can compress the ear canal and irritate the skin and nerves of the ear canal, resulting in pain inside the ear.
When the patient has pain inside the ear, it is recommended to consult the doctor in time to find out the cause of the pain.
