What causes itchy skin

Itchy skin may be associated with a variety of diseases, such as pruritus, contact dermatitis, urticaria, ringworm and so on.
1. Pruritus is an itchy skin disease caused by excessive dryness and dehydration of the skin, which often occurs in the fall and winter seasons, and the elderly are the most prone to itchy skin.
2. Contact dermatitis is due to skin contact with some kind of irritating objects and produce a perverse reaction, in the clinical mainly manifested as itching, but also may appear pimples, erythema, or blisters.
3. Urticaria is an allergic skin disease that occurs after contact with allergens. In addition to itchiness, there are also characteristic wind bumps in the clinic.
4. Ringworm is a disease caused by skin infection with ringworm bacteria, in addition to itchy skin, there may be blisters, vesicles, peeling or dry cracks and other phenomena.
